2D Narrative Game

Three suspects, three stories. As a detective in a cyberpunk city, uncover the truth of a murder and discover a story about hate, love, connection, and a possible future.

My Highlights

  • Proposed and co-developed the core concept and narrative of depicting different people's stories by experiencing their perspectives in mini-games.

  • Curated the concept of each level, designing them to represent the narrative and the emotions/psychological states of the characters.

  • Designed platformer and sokoban levels, focusing on learning curve and interest curve to provide a smooth player experience.

  • Directed the visual style, making sure that each level has a unique style that fit within both gameplay and narrative.

  • Composed the main music, giving it 4 versions to match with each of the levels. Made sure they can represent the NPC's experience and emotional state.

  • As the producer and project manager, managed timelines, milestones and organized asset requirements and deliverables to fit into the 2-week time frame.

  • Coordinated design, art, and programming to ensure gameplay quality as well as feasibility within time constraints.

  • Organized standup to ensure progress and retrospective for personal improvement.
