Robbits

4v1 Game about Cute Sleight of Hand

2025

A 4v1 game where 4 "robbits" (robber rabbits) try to steal relics while a guard is trying to catch them. The robbits have controllers as their input while the guard uses an eye-tracker.

Development Time: 2.5 weeks

Team: 5 people (me and four other students at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center)

Objective: Build a game for ETC festival (aiming for throughput)

My Highlights

  • Initiated the project concept and collaboratively designed core gameplay loop of strategic stealing and observing.

  • Improved the design of interest curve and player feedback systems, including visual and audio feedback as well as guidance, insuring gameplay clarity.

  • As the producer, organized tasks and meetings, as well as streamlining communication between art and programming.

  • Stepped in to clarify goals and facilitate discussion when creative disagreements and conflicts arose, re-aligning the team around agreed-upon priorities and allowing production to continue without delays.
